I'm looking at a super-secret s/c system that noone knows about for my Focus (PFF2). It'll push almost twice as much air as the JRSC, and about 1-1/2 times the PWSC. For about 1/3 the price.

And no, it's not electric :)

would it look something like this?

M90/M62 = 1.45X

M90/M45 = 2x

HTPerformance, sorry if I came across as being stuborn. I just enjoy a good debate. LOL There needs to be more of them. It makes posting intresting. Hey, I'll run your SVT with my ZX3 (before the Powerworks LOL) I bet I stay right with ya.
If you have traction...I'd spend a little extra for a Quaife....

True, true. Quaife is a good chunk of change, and a bitch to install. Maybe some day though. Actually the way my car is now I don't have too many issues with launching it. I can stay with or beat SVT's. I don't think I have the top end though. No 140 for my ZX3. LOL I'm guessing maybe 130 and that's pushing it.

Yes, yes it would. Who's car is that?

M90 s/c:                                     $150
SCT Pro Racer tuning system:    $800

Producing more boost at a lower blower speed than a Powerworks kit: priceless.

I'm not planning on mounting it on the manifold however, I was planning on stuffing it in front, in place of my A/C compressor :)

I must talk to whoever's car that is, to exchange ideas. Looks like a ZX2 to me.

Yep that was designed on a ZX2, but I think it could be adapted. I have a M90 sitting in my closet waiting to go on.... just need to get off my tucas and fab something up.

My plan:

Replacing my A/C compressor with the s/c. If you use the one off the Thunderbird SC, you can easily pipe to the back (intake manifold), including an intercooler, possibly, using the factory stuff.

I don't know for sure if it'll fit yet, I'll need a racing header for sure. Possibly custom. But I think it'll fit. And if it does, it's on.

One thing to remember if you go thru with this is to put the throttle body before the inlet of the roots S/C otherwise you will get terrible surges.

A guy did this on his maxima, and he had a hell of a time tuning it. It ran like a train, but it surged a lot.

The one I got is from a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP.

The T-SC one would probably suit better if you wanted to use an intercooler / non-manifold remote mount, but the GTP one is better for a manifold-mount situation. Hmm. You got me thinking now. I wonder how hard it would be to make a manifold...

The nice thing about the T-Bird is that I can mount it anywhere and run the tubing all over the place without any trouble.

One thing to consider is that the shorter your tubing travel the less thermodynamic energy loss will be, so... that is the reason most put the roots directly on a manifold above the head.

But keep in mind you need to consider some type of charge cooling to eliminate the possible pre-spark detonation.

I'm still kind of up-in-the-air. I'd like to mount it on the manifold, and set my intake up with heat shielding and a direct inlet for (cool) outside air. On the other hand, making a manifold would be a MAJOR PITA, and ducting the air would allow me to intercool it. But then there is loss of throttle response because of the long plenum to fill.

So I'm still up in the air.

The powerworks kit is at http://www.powerworks.com

You need to find a vendor for it though because they don't sell directly. I know I asked.

focus sport and new edge performance carry it.
