the torque issue is due to the restrictive exhaust not letting the turbo spool quickly, the kit he is running is one of the first FMAX kits that was made. The management is all Tom's stuff (ie chip and MAFS). The turbo doesn't sit as low as Tom's and the downpipe connects directly to it (for now). After FFW he'll get dyno'd again (Tom is tuning him also just like you, chance are you'll probably meet Mike). Tom's got a great kit, don't get me wrong, but he isn't willing to give credit to anyone else, and this kit is pretty powerful. Not to mention the rest of his modifications that are on his car.
Wow what a difference a 3" exhaust makes...Mike had to turn his boost down to 8lbs from 10 and he is still way quicker than he was, the power is very accesible and he makes full boost around 3K now. He'll be at FFW, he's hoping to be the fastest sedan in the US, and also hoping to break into the 12's, from what I've seen he shouldn't have a problem there.
Good luck to him. I plan on going to the FFW so maybe I see him run. The fact he has a turbo sedan is freeking cool. I don't see many turbo foci around but never a sedan.

"someday".
a turbo is one of the first things i plan to install
as soon as the warranty runs out.
(not a sedan, though)

Svtf with turbo's, ya gotta love them. Sport Compact Car magazine just had an article about turbocharging their svtf. They got some real nice number from a basicaly stock car.
