as you may have seen the post, i was in an accident last week, and need a new front bumper. i could go get the stock SVT bumper, and be happy, but i wanted to go with something different, that not many people have around here. so i was thinking the RS front and fenders. then i saw the price brand new, and was turned off. then i found this bumper http://www.roushperf.com/html/rpp_focusstage1.htm and fell in love with it (and the whole kit too). all in the same day, i received a PM from a focus fanatics user in reply to my post looking for an RS front bumper. he sent me the pics, and the price, but i dont know what bumper it is exactly. looks like the RS, but according to the UK tf'ers looks to be a US spec RS?? its sweet looking, and would look awesome, but i dont want a bumper without foglights that has foglight holes, and if i cant find the lights, i dont want to rig something to work (if ya know what i mean). anyways, if anyone has seen this bumper below and has any knowledge on it, id appreciate it, thanks!

The "TRUE" RS bumpers won't fit our cars right because the RS has a wider bumper.
The bumpers you posted pic's of look like the st170's bumpers. Any site that sells them should sell the foglights to fit, look in the lighting sections at bat.inc or europeanparts.net.

If this is the ST170 bumper, europeanparts-net sells em and I haven't been able to locate the fog lights for em.... any other sites you might be able to think of that would have em ?

The other thing that is a pita about the euro bumpers is you have to get rid of the crash foam and trim down the rebar.
The euro bumpers are dead sexy thought, good luck finding one.

Bat inc calles the bumper the Euro R/S bumper.

I beleve only the new (2004) R/S is the wide body version. I am not sure on that one.. Where are the Euro guys....?????????

Anyway BAT wants $695 for the bumper w/ grill mesh and fog lights.
Turn lamps 37.50ea (40ea for smoke & clear) and $13ea for bulb holders.
You'll have to call them on the fogs, it not on the site.

I say grab it for what you told me you could get it and deal with the other stough latter unless the fogs are outragiously priced.

Ok, Well, as I see it, you're looking at the RS without the mesh grille & fogs.  Exactly as described on European-parts.net.

It's not the Reiger because it doesn't have the leuvers.

From the site mentioned above: "Taken from the European Ford accessories program, made of Polyurethane this is just the bumper without fog lights, grille or mounting hardware. Modifications to the front rebar are required on some US cars to clear the turn signal indicators. Turn indicators are also required, please see lights section."

Image Link: http://www.european-parts.net/catalog/images/focusrsed2.jpg

The RS DOES require modification, but it will fit the car.  I was the unfortunate demolisher of an s2 back in 2002 that had this front on it.  I think you can search FJ and find his car now with it on.

Also, if you're going to go this route, I have found the numbers to be better from BAT inc. for the total kit.  Not to mention the Customer service...excellent! IMHO

Well, I did call BAT only to find out that if you are going to buy the fog seperate then its like $136.25 per light.. so. This is looking like it might not be such a deal after all if the bumper doesnt come with everything.. sorry, I tried my best :?

thanks for all your help guys. after hearing the price of the fog lights EACH and WITHOUT wiring, i dont know about this one. like bryant said, dead sexy, no doubt, but 130 per light assembly?? i thought 180 for the pair for my nissan pickup was bad.. however i did get this reply back from the seller of the bumper..(in reply to my asking "where is the bumper from, what exactly is it, and do youhave the foglights"

No problem.. It is the r/s edition.. It was made for europe but some where brought over here.. Batinc sells the lights I think.. They are very expensive though and from what I have been told and what I have seen, the svt lights will work.. Let me know..

i guess it comes down to do i want to take the risk in fitting the SVT lights...and as far as the crash foam, haha, well thats pretty much trimmed from what i can see after looking at it today, so im a step ahead in that dept.

;willyoh man, choices choices;smoke

alright, here goes. to those who have helped thanks a lot. and to those at FF :fu ! (for this is now the 3rd time for the "mis informing" of parts to sell)

after questioning this guy for a week now, i get it out of him that the bumper is not in fact a ford part at all. it is fiberglass and an imitation of the actual bumper, which would explain the difficulty in coming to a conclusion on exactly what bumper it was. im all set with fiberglass in NE, esp since i cant afford a winter car, end of story. FYI, the roush kit penny fund has begun, anyone with ;2cents feel free to pitch in:P

Sorry to hear the bad news, like you said before, guess it made the decision that much easier. You've had your heart set on the roush  bumper all along anyways ;)

Have you looked at the U.S spec euro bumper that Cal Focus sells?
My buddy had one before someone smashed into his car and now Rob has it.
Here's the link for it.
