Ok to make a long story a little less long I'll cut to the point...The cable that pulls the window up and down has gotten out of place and chewed up into the motor. I went to ford and they said it would cost $220 to fix. Is there a way to get it back into place myself? Has anyone ever needed to remove the motor? I really don't want to have to pay this much for a window I almost never use. So if anyone can help please let me know soon before I give up and let them do it. Sometimes it's no fun owning this many doors. :(

I found someone on ebay selling window regulators for $25 plus shipping and handling.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7905140901&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

has anyone ever needed to change one of these? Any tips?

finally fixed it. Got the ebay regulator for a little under $30 shipped to me. Install took all of 35 mins. Just 3 bolts holds it in place. Knocked the pin that holds the window to the regulator. Pull out the regulator....slide new one in...replace pin. All done.
