Yeah, Well I have the 6 disc in dash, so :P now I just have to listen to all the music I DO like instead of all the in between trash that comes on the radio. :) Screw da man, and screw da man's satellite. :)

Yeah 6006 stereo! I've got that and the XM, so I can listen to my commerical-free whatever music and store pretty much my entire CD collection in the HU all at once!

Base 00-04 $7.59 (List) $5.35 (fordparts.com)
Electrical - antenna - Base

If you call it a plastic antenna base they know what you mean... I don't have my wrapper anymore so no Part#. My Ford dealer had a bunch in stock, and it was like $8.13 counting tax.

I chopped my stock antenna down to the rubber covering. It doesn't draw stations in quite as well, but is still probably 80% of its original effectiveness. I'm more of a CD person anyway, so it doesn't bother me.

I've seen an antenna of sorts that you can mount hidden anywhere so you wouldn't have anything showing on the exterior. It's probably from someone like Hidden Audio because I saw it in relation to classic car restoration. I thought it was kinda cool anyway.

I think they ought to go back to putting them in windows, like they used to. There's at least 1 car that does this now, but I can't remember which one.

OK... we found out something yesterday (well, actually Billl found something out yesterday) about the antena bases. They ARE NOT all the same. Dan gave me one on Sat. that he got at the junk yard and it didnt fit my car right, wasnt snug to the roof. THen he tried the one that i bought at the dealer and it fit perfect.

Dont know if the difference is year to year, zx3 to sadan, roof or no roof but the tab that holds the antena in place is different lengther. The one from Dan was too long so it sat high.

Just thought people might like to know :)
