Ok, now that I have your attention , lookie what I got, for my Candy, yeah she's the one with the curves, LOL, I got my SLR fiberglass fenders in finally. But of course, my stuff never is easy to get or ever in ok condition. Bad luck you know. They came with a dime size chip in them!!! I dunno if you can see or not from the pic. It sucks, so have to get that fixed now.
Anyway, funny thing is she is now going to be blue, black and red until she gets her paint job, hahahahaha so busy weekend, hopefully, if it's cold then damn, can't do it, but have to install these babies, the mirrors and the turns. Wish me luck and no more bad luck pleeeeease.
Here are the pics.

And maybe you can see the chip or not:
So what do ya'll think, and these things are light as hell, like paper!!!
I say wait to put them on untill you get them painted. Have the car painted and the fenders painted seperatly than put them on. I think you will like the look better than painting them when they are on thecar because you will see little bits of blue that the spray could not get to.
Be original and have the fenders painted before you put them on..
When I redo my truck I will be painting every part seperate than put it all together. Also FYI, I make fun of all the people who get body kits and don't paint them. "Look he had the money for the cheap kit but not enough to paint it"
Looks good Carmen! I really like that style. Where is this chip? I kinda htink I see something but I could be imagining it because you say there's something there...
Yep... Drive to body shop and take off fenders (or tell them not to worry about overspray on the fenders) and have these new ones painted at the same time but not being on the car and have them do both sides (I know its fiberglass but the paint will still protect it, and they don't have to clear the inside). But if you don't want to do it that way than personaly I would put the new fenders on the day before it get painted.
But thats just me.
You do what you want and I'll give you a hard time about it and bitch at you, what ever you do.
Hahaha, but they have to fix it too. I think I'll put them on, right now she has the one on the driver side on, with only 2 bolts, hahahaha , but anywho, I am putting it on, , plus, I wanna see if they fit ok and stuff.
You gotta love it when you buy aftermarket body parts just to turn around and ix them so they fit. I remember my cousin told me that there is this company that sells cheap doby kits for hondas but you have to do body work on them to get them to fit and to smooth them out... hahaha
