As you may or may not know, 2005 ZX3s come with color-keyed body moulding.  They have most of the same colors as last year, a few new ones.  Anyway, I priced out the SVT primered mouldings.  Worked out to approx $180 bucks + $130 worth of paint.

But the pre-painted ones, from the factory are only $144.55 brand new, including sales tax.  So what that means is that instead of buying SVT moulding and painting it (or painting your black moulding and having it flake off 6 months later), you can get all four pieces of geniune Ford OEM moulding for about $150 bucks.  (Even full list price on these is less than $200)

The parts are not available yet, but a special order will yield a 2 week return time.  Mine are already on order.

Anyone with a yellow ZX3, here's the part numbers for B7 Zinc yellow (Egg-yolk yellow):

5S4Z-6120938-AAA
5S4Z-6120939-AAA
5S4Z-6129076-AAA
5S4Z-6129077-AAA

Only catch is that one of my doors has been repainted due to some asshat running into me awhile back, so it may not match perfectly on one side.  But that's better than it flaking off like it is now.

ZX5s from 2002 already have matched moulding, so you can get those parts if your ZX5 has black moulding.  Also, ZX5 moulding is the same as sedan moulding.  just gotta look up your color.

The only difference in the style ... I think the base model sedan has no moulding at all.  not sure on that one.

yup - New for 2005 - no sidemoldings at all on the base models! woohoo!  it looks really lame; like the car is unfinished...  i think only the S trims don't have it, but the SE and SES ones do.

Does that price include both the sides and the skirts? Or, are the skirts even available?
