Hehe, I never said I was special(or my car was special).
There are lots of things that are looks only (body kits anyone?) that lots of people love.
You are entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine. I used to hate the way CF looked on a car until my hubby got a CF hood.
I don't think it should really matter to you WHY I bought my CF hood.
Just my opinion though. You can hate on my car(s) all you want to, I still love it.

PFF, has a good point, however, in my case I would not paint mine as I prefer to go w/ the black look. Since I want the outside to remain black w/ the exception of the interior. Maybe mind you.
It can be a race car. Ever seen the Naval Reserve Focus? They race in the SCCA Pro Pro Touring cup. I want.
They compete against Integras, BMWs, Audi TT's... sport compacts! The Focus can be a race car... it all depends on how far you're willing to go with it.

Okay.. let me put it this way. *MY* specific car is far from a race car. It is a baby hauler a grocery getter etc. It keeps me happier than my minivan did (a LOT more fun to drive) and I have fun modifying it for my own pleasure. No one elses.

I'm glad you mod your car for you. I mod my car for me, Rick mods his for him... I feel like many people don't mod their cars for themselves but rather for what they think everyone else will think is "cool". It's like skinny women. Being skinny doesn't make you beautiful (and actually, I don't find slim women attractrive). Neither does raw CF.
Skinny women are to beautiful women as Raw CF is to CF. Some people may like it, but to me, it's ugly.

I guess I find it funny because I've never really seen/heard anyone complain or really come out and say that they hate the look of unpainted CF.

I have no right to dis Bush- I didn't vote last election.
I dunno. I guess what sparked this post was the CF hatch. I can just see so many Focuses ruined by slapping on an unpainted CF hatch, just because the owner thinks CF is so cool.
