LIttle known fact here in the states - When a car is purchased and the owner registers is in the UK...that plate goes with the car each time it is sold.
Also, the letter in the plate signifies the year of the car.
UK members: please correct me if I am wrong...but this is what my ex-nightmare told me as he could never tell me the year of a car over there and he didn't know what year each letter signified all the time.

No, you've gotta have your state's own plate(s) on there. If you only Require a rear plate, you could always order a Euro one and put it on the front, the way people put decorative plates up there.
exactly what lil d said. You have to run on your car what is required and you should check your state's rules/laws about displaying other plates.
I know in NH & ME you have to have both front and rear plates. displayed. In ME you can have a plate displayed in a window (rear), but in NH I have been informed that this is not legal..even for temp plates.
I would check your state's DOT laws.
