Well I have been away from the boards for a little while, but the newest thing that I have done on the Focus is the addition of 50% film on the windows....

Ya, tint really helps the overall look. Much better.

May I suggest a more molded rear wing? Maybe something fiberglass?, and a little less, well, bleacher like? Kind of looks like the bleachers over at Tuck Field.

Ya, I had my windows tinted not to long ago and it makes a big difference in looks.  Looking good though.

Tint looks good man!  Nothing like a little tint to make a car even sexier :)

its all about downforce through sheer extra pounds
weighing down on the rear wheels, man.

Car looks great. I agree on the wing tho. It's big enough for John Force to use. Really out of place on a Focus.

first off....tint looks great love it .. now for the other topic in here. maybe its just me but down force on the rearend during cornering can be benificial. if your ass end doesnt stay planted you go round and round reguardless of front or rear wheel drive...but i agree on a straight away drag its not desirable....its all about what you want your car to do...

actually cornering and handling in the focus you would rather have the back end a little more slippy, the focus understeers quite a bit (as do most FWD vehicles), it's actually favorable to have a slight oversteer when cornering.  The wing adding downforce in the rear is just going to make it more difficult to steer, as well as throwing off the center of gravity for the rear of the vehicle.  You never need downforce in cornering unless you have a rear wheel drive which is already oversteering.  You want to be closer to neutral, but slight oversteer is ok.

ayup.
that's why the SVT model
has an extra... 2 inches of wing,
not some h00g thing hangin' out back there.
hell,
even the Cobras only have a modest wing
and those -are- rear drive.

so arent you saying that the svt has a wing...which equals more rear down force which equals exactly what i was saying?....

A little rant, can't you ever stay on topic, I mean, it's like everytime you see a wing you all freak the hell out, and I am sick of the bullshit.  If I wanted crap about the wing I would ask for it, and all everyone here does is bitch about the wing on my car.  If you don't like it, DON"T LOOK !!!!!!!!!!!!  All these replys on this topic, and only the first are about the actual topic, get a fucking life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
