the stock side skirts on my car have been dented in an accident. is there any way to remove these so i can pound the dents out? note that my car is a 2000 LX and the body is all stock so far.
From my experience the lower side moldings on the 2000 & 01 are plastic and can come off. If they have already been taken off (if you bought car used) than you are looking at the body and cannot come off. If you do infact have metal lower side moldings than I would like to see them...
I'm thinking he means like mine...which aren't moldings so much as the actual sheet metal itself. Mine is just painted to color match but not easily removed from what I can tell.
Easy way to find out is just go to the dealer and get a written estimate. Then you'll know what's involved and if it's something that you want to do yourself or have the dealer perform.

i think mine are the same as CKA's. if i could do it myself it'd be great cuz i really dont want to spend $$$ on body work right now. any one have experience using that one dent remover they always advertised on tv? if they work well i may consider getting one.......
and unfortunately i dont have a digital cam or a scanner as of now so sorry i cant get pics for ya yet

just for your reference - you can actually use a standard camera or even a disposable. When you go to have pictures developed, you can have them put onto a CD. Just a note to those of you who wish you had digi pics, but dont' have the camera or scanner.
