Anyone have a how to for rolling fenders without the machine? I only need to take mine out a fraction of an inch. I've seen it done with a baseball bat before but I didnt pay alot of attention. Any help here?

I'vs heard about doing this with a bat as well. I guess that you stick the appropriate part of the bat, depending on fender gap, between the fender and tire and slowly roll the car back and forth (by hand) until you achieve the desired results. I've also heardhorror stories about people trying to roll too much and cracking ther aint, o be careful! Maybe some heat would help the aind stay on? Hair dryer? Just my couple of pennies.:dude:

yeah I know all about the heat gun and the paint. but Its only a very slight roll. I think I may even be able to get away with just folding the inside lip up further. I dont know though.

Tried to do it myself on another car, ONCE. Cost me a fender. The fenders on the Focus are thinner so might be easier to do. I'd check by using a small hammer and seeing if the lip from the inside bends easily.

well, I went out to inspect the panels and I made a great discovery. It turns out that the part that is rubbing is the bumper. Right where the back bumper meets the panel, there is a larger than average lip. If you look, you can see where its already slightly bent and missing paint. IIRC, this is where my dad's civic was rubbing too. When I get home I'm going to get the angle grinder out and take that lip down a notch. ANGLE GRINDER > ALL
