Well, I gots one Bought be a nice black one to go with the car. Unfortunatly, now its is gold... not so much the look im going for (Ill try to post a pic when i get home)
Well, i emailed new edge, asked what was up. I was told to call some guy Dave over at Focus Central and he would replace it for me. SO... i just called Dave, never got to talk to him. Some kid that answered the phone told me that that is what they do and i could return it if i wanted to but would be better of painting it. Painting it? Why would i buy something that im gonna have to paint. He told me they tend to fade (mine did in a week apparently) and that its better to buy silver or just paint them. Ya know, if its gonna fade... someone could have given me a clue.
SO... my question is... how many of you guys have one of these antenna and how many have had a problem with fading? I have never seen a fading problem on the ones that i have seen personaly. I just wanna make sure this little punk isnt messin around with me, trying to save himself some work, since im a chick callin up (wouldnt be the 1st time).

Pokes, i was reading a thread on FJ, regarding Focus Central. Apparently in order to get things done right, you need to talk to Dave. Hes the man you need. Though, apparently, hes touggh to get a hold of!

well isn't that just crappy. I've heard of them fading but never that fast. Sounds a little nuts if you ask me. What are they made of again? It might just save you the time and aggravation to just sand it down and repaint it yourself. Because like rick said they might just sent you another one that'll fade all over again.

I got mine very cheap...I think it's an FC? Chris would have to verify that for me. I can say I've noticed a "hue" of metallic brass coming through. I think I may just re-paint mine. Not to worried since I paid very little for it.

they are anodized aluminum. Mine has faded now, and it's kind of pink instead of the red it started as. I think I'm just going to sand, paint, clear it and solve the whole damn problem.
