I can't find a good Miata message board with people willing to help. All that I can find are either so friggin huge and everyone thinks the Miata is best things since God and aren't willing to help cause everything has already been covered or they are too small and you don't get any replies. So, you guys will have to deal with me asking some styling questions for my Miata here. I know alot of you don't like the Miata, but it's what I got, I'm starting to like it, and I'll ask that you look past your inhabitions and give me some good advice.
Anyways, I want to paint the calipers (4 wheel discs) but I can't decide which color would be best. At first I thought of red, cause that's gonna be my interior color (along with shinny metal) but since the wheels are gun metal colored I thought red might look funny behind them and thought about maybe using that chromalux color shifting kit that's out there. What do you guys think? Here's a pic of the wheel.

I think red would look good. Althought the color shifting paint would be pretty cool. Can you get in in a high temp paint? Red would look good with the white body and the dark rims. Red gets my vote.

I alway's thought the calipers painted the same body color looks good so maybe even a white? The paint shifting color I don't think would work to well. Red will always stand out on a white painted body tho.

my suspicion
is that color shift would be a waste
on such a small part.
a big part of what makes color shift work on a car
is the long body panels
with a variety of facets and panels
to catch light at different angles.
you won't get that on your calipers,
and so i suspect the effect would be lost.

Ok I have an Infra Red 4 door. What color do you think would look good? I was pretty set on red but I don't know if red on red would make it stand out.
