so,
the sport tires on my SVT
are more or less death waiting to happen
in the sleet/slush/freezing rain
that is the Rhode Island winter.
especially with all that torque ;>

i'd really prefer to have all-seasons
as my day-to-day driving rubber,
but at the same time,
don't want to completely -ruin- the look of the car
by putting big, bulky pedestrian tires on.
(then again,
if i get stuck this winter, like i did last time,
i may say fark it and get them anyway.
i think i took 5,000 miles off the life of the trannie
trying to get off a 2 mile long, 5% grade
in 2 inches of barely frozen slush.)

anyone know of a decent -looking- all-season tire?

I tried high performance all seasons...I switched to dedicated snow tires on stock SVT rims and bought a set of the Euros and put Kumho MX...I missed the handling of a dedicated summer tire..the all-seasons didn't have the grip... but, if you really want all-seasons, check out these, I've heard good things about them...You can check out the specs, warranty and reviews.  http://www.tirerack.com

my plan is to leave the worn out sport tires
on the stock SVT rims,
and then get highly visual rims
with the better weather tires on them.
then,
when i go to the track,
i can put on the better performing tires,
but come slush season,
i'll be looking sharp,
and not getting stuck.

that's the -plan- anyway...
