has anybody here installed the SVT gauges in a "Normal" Focus? I've done it and it works great. I've not found any topic in the selfmade,so I asked me if anyone done it.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! I am installing the svt gauges in a 2001 focus lx 4 door with the spi. I plugged in the main connector in the back, and the rpm gauges work. everything is fine, but the gauge faces will not light up. I noticed a connector at the top of the cluster with two red wires. is that for the gauge face lights?

I put an SVT cluster in my 2001 ZTS.for the backlight,go to one of the websites that sells neon lights and get the high frequency transformer. It's only about $20.the smallest one they sell will do.simply connect those two wires on your cluster to it and bingo you'll have lights. Also connect the auxilliary cluster to it too.If you've figured out how to make the auxilliary gages work, let me know.I havent figured that out yet.

If you are going to a six speed, get a diablo Predator chip.Have McNews set the chip for the six speed or your speedo won't work right.

Thank you very much. I feel like you just saved the cluster's life! No worries. I only have a 5 speed tranny. it does the job from light to light! I really appreciate it! I will be sure to post this to let some other perople know who are trying to get the swap done!

Try neontrim.com and order the 12v15 ultra high frquency inverter. It's 19.95 +$5 s&h. The two wire connections on the cluster are AC so don't worry about polarity. I would protect it on the 12v DC side with a fuse. It would be best to hook it in to your headlight switch so it won't burn all the time. Promise it works.Good Luck and remember you owe me info on the auxilliary gage hookup. You can email me at rgates69@suddenlink.net
