Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a source (online if possible) for custom rubber floor mats for my ZX3. The previous owner did a good job of keeping the road slat off of the carpet so it hasn't started to corode yet, and I'd like to keep it that way with some nice rubber mats. Any help would be great! Thanks

I think any auto parts store should have some decent rubber mats. I know that somebody in TNE has them and loves them, I just can't think of who it is. I know that if you buy the "universal" mats, they can be trimmed to fit the floorboards. These say they can be trimmed to fit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7928103175&category=33697.  Also here are some really nice ones that are custom fit for the focus, although they are pricey. http://www.weathertech.com/store/vehsearch.asp?make_id=17&year_no=2000&veh_id=736&item_group_id=3&veh_opt_choice_id=0

Those are exactly what I was looking for!! I'll give my dealer a call tomorrow to find out if they can get me some. Does $45 buy fronts, or front and back? Thank you!

I just got waterhogs for my car, I've had rubber mats before and all that managed to do was channel the water onto the non-replaceable parts of carpet in my car.

I've had some rubber mats from Wal-mart and they worked great.  I need new ones SOON.

The only problem I'd have with the ones you've shown Rick, is where they latch to the floor hook.  That looks like a hole there! Doesn't the water go out that hole?

We have to deal with water, slush, ice, salt and all the other road debris.

Nope! No problems with the hole . Clean and dry as a baby's bottom under there. ;)

Oh c'mon Chelly. You should know by now that somebody's gonna have to interpret that for the Rickster. His biggest worry is spilling avacado juice on his carpets. :D

Seriously Mr. V - you mean Artichoke Juice :P

Rick, I'm serious though - take a 1/4 bag of ice and let it melt in that sucker and then come back to me.

That's what'll come off my boots in the winter in one storm alone.  Major suckage factor.

Actually, now that I think of it...my baby can go up for her 3rd winter this year....Thanks to Dan again...I'll be sportin' my winter treads & 15's on the Sony.

Oh - BTW - one of my fave parts to those mats you have Rick - dead pedal cover!  I want a dead pedal!  That will be one of my mods for next Spring's "release" of the "Hot lil' pocket rocket"

Sheesh Chelly, you should just cut in a drain hole if it's that wet in there. :)

The Kona has made to fit rubber floor mats in the front and I love them.  The rear floor area is so small some standard rectanglar rubber mats that you could get anywhere will work fine.

I've also liked priducts from http://www.everythingautomotive.com  but I haven't gotten their mats yet.  J.C. Whitney also has rubber mats.

I'm pretty sure Waterhogs is a name brand rubber floor mat that has really deep tread and can hold a lot of water and debris.
