Hi all, I am putting a new momo wheel on, and was wondering if anyone has any info or link on airbag removal? I have looked, but  havent found anything on the focus.

Thanks

Careful when it comes to inspection time because air bag removal (espically drivers) might keep the car from passing inspection.

don't sell off your air bag or stering wheel just incase you need to put it back on for a day.

I checked with my local shop, and they told me I didnt need it. All was well as long as the wheel diameter wasnt changed. I do, however, have the wheel and airbag in the basement.

Like I said. Just keep them around "just in case"

wouldnt worry about inspection as much as insurance.
have an accident that deploys the airbags, youll see what i mean. its listed as a restraint, you remove it and get hurt due to it not being there the hospital bill may end up being all yours as the insurance company laughs. check with them first.
also, enjoy seeing the airbag light all the time....not worth removing imo.

The airbag light is coming out today, also, I have seen at least 3  of my friends have fender benders turn into alot more due to the airbag. I  manage a gym here in newport, and have talked to 2 staties who work out there, and they both have told me for the 1 life the air "may" save there are countless injuries due to them.  And lets not talk about the joke that is the passenger side airbag.  Thanks for the concern, but airbags just plain suck.  I wont loose any sleep worrying about the thieves, aka insurance companies either.
