Unless you are planning on painting the radio bezel while it is in the car you have to take the stereo out. the 4 bolts holding the bezel on are behind the radio..

yep, you can get the tools to remove that radio just about anywhere...AutoZone etc.  Not expensive and worth it.

be sure to get yourself some nice plastic prep soap and do a few coats from a good distance...light coats as this stuff will drip like mad.  then clear it for extra shine and protection.

That's what I used to paint my interior.  I didn't do any prep work other than cleaning and it's looked fine for over a year now.

The only thing I'll add to the fact that is says "no prep work" is that your natural oils from your fingers and any products used inside the vehicle may cause an oil spot where the paint may not adhere to.
The process you choose is up to you.  This is just my 2cents.

I wouldnt use that flat paint, but thats up to you. I originally did mine in a paint like that, and I hated it. Had to strip all the pieces back down. And I redid it with Dupont Sonic Blue metallic. Looks 300 times better than flat paint.

i'm not using flat paint its gloss white and it looks great so far. but anyways im painting the trim that surrounds the gauges right? well theres that little cubbyhole i removed so i could paint that easier. now how does it go back on? it seemed to be held on w/ some kind of adhesive. what should i use to stick it back in? epoxy?

Oh goodness no!  No need to do that at all.  That shroud is a pita, but ya, like Jonny mentioned, use a tool (flathead etc.) to help push them back into place.  You'll get used to it once you've pulled that car interior apart enough. lol

Yeah, you could just lay it back in there. I did that too for a day or 2 while I did my stuff.

I painted my interior pieces and it didnt take too long or that much effort, but make sure u use a clear coat after unless u want ur pieces to look all flat n nasty.  wet sanding is also a good idea...
