What are the laws about removing the factory focus steering wheel and replacing it w/ a steering wheel w/ no airbag? Like one from Sparco? Thanks in advance. New Hampshire laws that is.

I don't believe there is one.  As many vehicles I know of don't drive with stock steering wheels

You can go to a DMV. They should have a way to check your local laws. I tried to find out for you online but I didn't see it listed anywhere. Just a bunch of info on emissions

ya, I have the links for Maine and NH dmv saved at home, but I really don't think there is anything about modifying the steering wheel.

Not exactly sure, but I know for sure that my friend got ticketed for his aftermarket steering wheel in his truck. That was like 10 years ago though. A Statie said the S-W was "too small". The truck did have an airbag stock though. Hell, it didnt even have power steering lol.

I have heard stuff about changing the size of the wheel. I haven't heard anything about removing the airbag though. I would think that it would be illegal because of it's a safety feature of the car. Look into it man and let us know whats up!:)

All I know about steering wheel laws, is that the steering wheel has to be no smaller than 12 inches in diameter ( all the way across ) as for airbags, hey man it's your face.

It may not be illegal, but your insurance company may love you forever...lol
Check with your agent before doing a mod like this. removing a safety device may end up costing you alot if you get into an accident, get hurt, and the estimator notices no airbag. they may be able to deny any medical bills you incure in an accident along with some of the repair costs.
