I was in Clearwater last week, and in some thick stop and go traffic I managed to stop before hitting the fool in front of me who stopped very short, but the guy behind me couldn't stop in time to avoid me. It felt like such a hard whack that I was sure my bumper looked like a taco.

We pull over and I'm pissed but decided I'm going to at least try to be cool about everything because it was really a group effort and I've got insurance anyway. So we check out our cars and both of us have nothing but some scuffs on the plactic. I was totally amazed that there wasn't even a crack in the bumper cover. So we called it even and went about our business.

I was ready to rant and rave but sometimes things work out. I think I must have cashed in my accumulated karma on that one.

Yeah, just a little buffing and some "trim shine" (the scuffed part was really the black strip below the painted bumper) and it looks fine.

Thanks CKA. I was almost going to post my story on your thread about all the times you've been getting hit, but I thought better of it. I hope you have better luck in the future. I'm sending some mana and good karma your way!

Holy crap Kona - I'm glad you're ok. Also glad that your Kona mobile didn't sustain any bad damage.

One thing though.... I thought you only had to go to Tarpon Springs to get rear-ended.    (Tampa Bay folks will know what I'm talkin about)

Snake Bliskin's new assignment: Escape from Tarpon Springs!

I've made it out of there alive before, but you know Clearwater and 60 are a nightmare too.
