After hearing that TV stations around the country were going to cancel the airing of Saving Private Ryan on Veterans Day, it all started to come to me. I had listened to George Carlin the night before. It all fell into place. Lets try to connect the dots.

The pro-life Christian Right hates the idea of abortion. They will do anything for the unborn, but once you're born....you're own your own. They will do anything for a fetus, but if that fetus happens to grow up to be a doctor working in an abortion clinic, they might just have to kill it. Once your born, and on your own for awhile, they regain interest in you once you hit military age. Thats because they want live babies so they can raise 'em to be dead soldiers. Go to war, fight for freedom, maybe give up your life. Then 50 years later, the same Christian Right wants to censor the destruction, war, and despair they raised you for. No Saving Private Ryan because it may be too graphic, and there is a few swear words. WELL YEAH ITS FUCKING WAR!!!!!!!

Connect tha dots...la la la....connect tha dots...la la la

And lets not even get started on tha fuckin bleedin heart Liberals lol. We are all fucking DOOMED.

Jonny, the hypocrisy never ends.

I just had someone ask me why I take the paper that typically get's thrown away here at work (reams and reams of it) home with me.

What do you do with it, what the question and I mentioned I recycle it.

Next question was: "Do you get money for it?" I said no...I just bring it to the dump and put it in recycling bins.

The next comment/question: "Just out of the kindness of your heart?"
I said yep.

Then I was called crazy.  Well, they were only half kidding there, but I do what I can and try to be kind and I think that Jonny's rant speaks volumes of my life growing up and watching hour our freedoms are manipulated & defined by so many different sides of the political, ethical and religious spectrum.  It's sad to see we seem to have more and more morally motivated laws & restrictions now than ever before.

If you don't like what's on TV - Change the damn channel!

Ugh, I hear ya Chelly, I like try 2 recycle everything here and they freak, just like when I feed the geese and the ducks here, they r like why r u feeding those infested animals, so u know what I say " I have one question for u?" and they r like "what?" and then I say "If u r not fucking paying 4 this bread then fuck off" Literally I have been saying this. So I say ask them is it hurting u any, then fuck off!

I hate people, specially the one's here, except 4 the plant guy's , they understand, but the office dude's, oh god, they complain about everything.

Hi Jonny

If you ever figure out how they make sense of the contradictions please let me know. After watching clips of some southern baptist ministers preaching death and destruction I'm having a tough time distinguishing them from the ayatollahs. No, I'm not being sarcastic. It just baffles me.
I just posted a piece "in the News" Osama... The ex-cia guy put things in a different perspective from that which is normally in the US press.

What's the percentage of people in every group that are followers? How many of them think the way they do only because they were raised that way and have never made sense of things on their own? Sadly enough there are so many Christians in denominations that don't really believe the bible. They only hear parts because they are taught to pay attention to only those and the whole picture is ignored. Those folks want to believe in something and are too lazy to look into the big picture. They distort the truth of things to fit their personal desires. A good example are those "church" people from the midwest somewhere that travel to other states to protest the homos and tell them God wants them dead. The minister who teaches that took a bit of the bible and used it to back something that he took personal. He convinced his followers of this nonsense who themselves don't know anything. There are people like this on every side of every dispute.

As far as what Jonny said, a lot of pro-lifers don't know what they believe in. They only like to feel right and like to fight. Same goes for the pro-choicers. I vote pro-life. I do believe that it is murder. Even if it is state condoned. Fair to the women or not. It is the killing of an innocent. And i do think that something should be allowed to grow until it can make its own decisions. Now, that said, i also don't really care to change the law for any other reason than the fact it is state supported. I don't think its worth my buck. I'd never protest or condemn someone i know had an abortion, and I wouldn't hold it against them. I know what its like to be under pressure.

I really don't agree with censoring "Saving Private Ryan" from the tv. If you don't want to see that stuff then don't watch it or don't let your kids watch it or whatever. Geez, a little self control. Its not like its porn. No one is going "ooh, i have to watch blood and guts". I think they censored it because they want to. It makes them feel powerful and they used some bit of some groups morals to justify it.

YES, kindness is a dying quality in this fast-paced, "me" society. kudos to you for still practicing chelly!

YES, and ironically all in the name of "freedom and the pursuit of happiness" for those the laws were intended to help.
