well, did a trip from denver (down there for an instructor course all week) to the ne corner of sd today (actually about 450 miles to finish it today). went north on 83 out of north platte nebraska. there is absolutely nothing much to speak of between there and the sd border other than sand hills. going up and down hills, around curves, very board, and not watching my speed. got to the top of one hill as an hp coming from the other direction did (had a semi tagging along behind me about 1/2 mile back). i seen him as the radar detector went off, said a few choice words as i nailed the brakes. he whipped around and followed awhile before pulling me over.
Why is it the first words out of a cops mouth are; do you know why i pulled you over?
and why is it that when you go to find your insurance card that sucker can disapear, only to magically reappear on top of everything in the glove box.
But, being the nice guy he was. i got a warning for speeding and a citation i have to go have signed when i produce my insurance card.
never did say what i clocked at. don't think he got locked before i got down to about 67. but, 67 would still be speeding i guess.
