My daughter plays hockey and we've been having a lot of away games lately. WE've been riding together also lately. Last night, we were making our plans for this weekend's trip (about 2 hours one way to go see a woman's hockey game and play between periods) but the woman I normaly go with, her truck was full. So she told me to call another mom that is on our team, but I knew that another woman and her daughter were already riding with them. I asked her what kind of car she had and she's like, a suburban of course! (Of course! what was I thinking, what hockey mom would drive anything besides a huge oversized SUV!)
There have been times where we could have easily fit the couple of us in my Focus.. but the other mom won't ride in it! (then again, her suburban is equipped with tv/dvd player etc and she says she can just run all of the little cars off the road!). Run my little car off the road. psht.
So this weekend, here's me and my little girl riding alone lol

And you can brag to them about how fast you got there and only used a 1/4 tank of gas, about 3 gallons... hahahaha There 1/4 tank is about 6 gallons.
And remember the little car is for bobbing and weaving between the big SUV's on the road. Althought give me a truck with good mirrors(mine are a little loose) and I will bob and weave that. SUV's are to tippy for some of the manovers I see people doing in them.
Of if you really like you can borrow my truck so you can run the big SUV's off the road
After the game leave after everyone and pass them all and when asked why you were going so fast just say "The car just cruises nicely at that speed" or "I was trying to use the same amount of gas a you but the cops would not like me going over 100pmh"
I also have being behind those huge moving bill boards. They take away to much needed viewing area when driving.
Ya know...I like these trucks when they are necessary. I loved my 4Runner, but it was just not practicle for me and to be honest, I can fit just about the same amount of stuff in the back of my hatch as I could in the back of my 4 runner. No kidding!
As for her assinine comment about running little cars off the road. I say bring your little car to the games, park right next to her and get yourself a bumpersticker or hanging sign that says my little car can beat up your SUV or something.
Damned soccer/hockey/ignorant SUV drivers. Can't park worth a damn either!

actualy, hers has a 40 gallon gas tank, so a 1/4 tank would be 10 gallons! Almost a full tank for me! And you're right, she can't park worth a damned! lol.

The Focus just isn't meeting my needs it's too damned small for everything that I do. I am going to have to take at least two trips to the rink this Saturday because I can't carry everything in the stupid car. I'm sick of having to remember to switch between my brownie stuff and my hockey stuff, sick of getting to the rink only to realize I have my Brownie boxes with me. Yeah.
It's a great little car, but right now no little car would do it for me.

And You can fit a lot a lot of shit into the focus. Did you forget the back seats go down and they are 60-40 split???
I know the back seats fold down, that still doesn't give me enough room to also haul my daughter along with the tournament stuff and her hockey gear. I have fit a lot into the Focus, trust me it's always filled as much as possbile.

We just went and "stocked up" on groceries (about twice what we normaly get) and omg it barely fit in the zx3. My daughter was so pissed because she was so squished in the back with all of the food.
seriously, shouldnt $270 worth of groceries fit in a damned car?!

Company just bought a Sprinter. (Ok, ok, my decision)
Thing is huge but since it's running on Bio-diesel/Petro diesel mix at a buck and a half per gallon it's cheap to run.

However I did tell my husband that if he installed my springs/shocks for me that I would quit whining about wanting to trade it in.
