I was supposed to have a vacation day today, but they told me Thursday I needed to be in early (I work 9-5) at 8 AM Monday and *HAD* to be there. They're even calling in our second shift at 7 this morning to be there at 8.
We're ALL going to lose our jobs. Banta!!
BUT WE are being bought by Fidelity Investments, so us hourly people get to keep our jobs basicaly, but I guess all of our management is gone within the month or two. I just hope we don't lose too much of our benefits or pay!

At my last job I was able to avoid 2 big layoffs in 3 months, than I found a new job. The new job just told me in the beginning of Jan "they signed the contract and you have a job for the next year". So I'm ok for at least a year if I don't mess up.
I beleve Rick is still jobless but he's hanging in there.... I think......???????......
I thought they were closing on the company today. i guess it won't actualy change over until second quarter.
I'll still have the same old job, pay benefits etc so I'm pretty lucky I guess. It could be a LOT worse!

No kidding Fiddie. That $7.50 an hour he makes sure isn't going to support us, so I'm glad to still have it no matter what the name of the company is.

No.. we're not getting laid off at all. They assured us none of us are losing our jobs. Even our managers are the same (big surprise considering we found out that our managers were part of the group that bought us.. -note sarcasm).
Just our benefits will be different. I just hope the health insurance is still decent.
