Yeah, I think mustfcs brings up a good point here. There are unhappy Honda owners. Talk to my mother, she drives a Honda....check engine light has been coming on since it was driven home. Problem after problem after problem. Point being, there are bad cars on EVERY lot.

You obviously have some sort of latent attraction to Ford's because you take the time out of your life to come here and raise hell when you know that you are out numbered about 20-1. Subconsciously it must somehow be worth it to you to be here. My overall conclusion is that you yearn for something like a Ford RS, and consciously cant come to terms with it. However, I do believe that you are tired of your own scene's tireless efforts to do the same thing over and over and over again. I think the monotony is killing you, and your desire for something different has brought you here to us.
And another thig to remember is that the Focus was not built to be a race car (with the exception of the limited run SVT) of any type. It was made by ford as a cheap entry level car in the states and an overall world wide car. Over in the UK the focus is a full size family car and the 2.0L is the most wanted motor. The direct compitition as far as honda goes is the Civic and thats it.
My focus has 84K on it and the only problems with it have been normal problems like tires and breaks, i'm still on original clutch. As for ford making shit cars, well there have been a few models with there share of problems but overall its just as good as any other manufacturer out there. My truck was and 83 with 190K+ on it when I sold it(a week ago). I had to rebuild the motor due to previous owner not taking car if it and maintaining it. My parents 86 Bronco was sold with 180K+ on it back in 2002 and it was still running strong. I also know others with older fords that have gone over 200K and no serious problems and there are some focus owners with over 120K and no problems. when people bitch about there cars and problems its just that, they have problems. you never hear about the people that have no problems.
As for Ford not being luxury... They own Lincoln and Jaguar.
But as mstfcs said everyone likes what they like and that will always be the way. so if you don't like the Focus and Ford than fine. Tell us that, state your facts and and never buy a ford again. don't keep trying to bash it into our heads. we know how you feal and ignore it(to a point). Did you even realize or think that some of the people on this site are die-hard ford fans? I can't complain about the fords I own(ed) and I can't complain about the non fords i've owned. the only time any car I have owned has let me down is when they ran out of gas and it isn't really there fault it happened.
I say drop this stay here and have a civil conversation about somthing(maybe autos in general) or leave us alone and go troll some other boards.

who said ford makes shitty cars?? um if i'm not mistaken the old school mustangs were superb, and sport compacts such as the escort rs and escort cosworth are still around and kickin so i must disregard that statement
ive had bad luck with the focus, no doubt, but i dont come here tellineveryone else their car sucks. i mean, i find it funny the issue with mine, but i spent some money and im happy again. dont bother posting if youre not going to be helpful
