yep. got less of a bonus than originally anticipated and I DIDNT get a raise. I got into a some ish with a chick at work about a year ago and she ran to HR to level all kinds of BS at me. HR put me on probation which means you are ineligable for a raise. well, I disputed the probation and as per company policy it went up the food chain. it was never resolved because HR gave up trying to make it stick however, they denied me a raise because of a probation that never stuck! thats it, Im gonna start sabotaging this place.

Ding-dong! May I interject for a second? As a Burger Shack employee for the past three years, if there's one thing I've learned, it's that if you're craving White Castle, the burgers here just don't cut it. In fact, just thinking about those tender little White Castle burgers with those little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in your mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one... just makes me want to burn this motherfucker down. Come on, Pookie, let's burn this motherfucker down! Come on, Pookie! Let's burn it, Pookie! Let's burn this motherfucker down! Let's burn it down! Let's burn it!

Sounds like a bunch of bureaucratic BS to me.

Dan's been going through the same crap - 2 years of service coming up in May and no raise EVER.  If he doesn't get one this time he's outie.

FYI - reason for bonuses vs. raises - cost less to the company because they can project the annual cost.  with a raise, if the co. pays hourly, they cannot control expenses if OT is involved.

I know how it feels getting shafted for a raise.  I've been 2 years without one, not even a christmas bonus.  I'm one of those employees that everyone looks down upon since I don't have the bachelor's or whatever special licensing that a civil engineer requires (nor do I care about licensing).

The only raises I get are from Stop and Shop, and those are .25 every 6 months.

I've had significant raises over the past year, but thats starting from a VERY LOW wage.  Dan can vouch for me on that one.

Hang in there man.  There are options. just keep them open.
