SO I'm pulling out to Rte. 9 East to get back to work from lunch.  I went to go, but noticed a van in my lane, so I stopped short... the woman in the SAAB behind me didn't, went into my car 10MPH.  The rear bumper is slightly out of alignment, and there are scratches and minor denting.  Looks like I will need a new bumper cover.

DAMMIT!!!!!! Too the woman, I give you a big fat :fu

im glad that you got her info and everything... for a second there I thought you just left... oh that would have been the bad. Whenever you can get ther person who hit you to fix it.... its a good thing. I cant tell you how many times  I have had to pay for the fixing of things that other people did to my car.

Sorry to hear about the booboo Jay... but atleast it will be covered to get it fixed :)

(and if it makes you feel any better.... i had my car less than a month the 1st time i got hit too.... and talk to Chris (pitchblackzx3) I think he had the new Lincoln for about 2 weeks before it got damn near totaled because of some bastid!)

Oh no, there's no way in hell I would have left an opportunity like that!!

I have an appointment for appraisal at a Ford dealership tomorrow to have the car looked at, inside and out.  I'm making sure that A: there's no chance for her to even think about paying out of pocket, and B: I know I'm getting Ford authentic parts, as well as C: I want to keep my car in its most tip-top shape I can.

I now dread the winter....

Well, that's the first story out of Mass that I've heard come out in the victim's favor so far as an accident.

Euro Bumper - envy.

AFAIK, rear ender's in MA are pretty much 99% of the person "doing the butt" at fault.  I have been victim of 3 rear-enders since getting my license, and all 3 were not my fault.

A/M rear bumper sounds enticing, but I plan to keep my car stock ;)

Oh, and to add insult to injury, I decided that in a very sleepy demeanor to move my car this morning for my roommate and nick the corner of the house with my front passenger fender, marring the paint up there good.

Batting 1000 so far in the past couple days :X:X:X

I'm gonna see what it costs to get that fixed outta pocket, I'll shell out for that myself :(

I have actually had a modified car before the Focus, I just want stock now, considering I don't have all that much money to dump into a car.  Even if I want a modified car, its going to be on a 2nd car, I don't need a riceboy magnet as a daily driver, especially in Boston :?

Eh, my situation beyond is a little more difficult with time, money, etc.  When I can find the time/money I'll have a tuner of my own one of these days :D

Oh, and I got the appraisal already... 335 dollars, all they really have to do is take the bumper off, sand, paint, seal, re-install, and make sure everything is aligned.  I'm gonna wash the car this weekend (hopefully) so to make sure the damage and dirt are separated :)
