Alright apparently not only was I cursed with paying to much for my car.  Putting 40,000 miles in less than one yr on my car.  My car has taken a toll from the BIG DIG, and the work they have been doing on I95.  The windshield looked like it was sandblasted and the has minum of 6 chips in it.  I finaly got it replaced after a month of fighting with the insurance company.  The were going to replace it on friday but I there was  scratch on it so I had to wait till monday for a new one came in.  So now I have to wait till thursday because the installed the scratched windshield not the one they ordered.  I also have chips on my hood, front bumper, doors mirrors.  I was going to have it fixed this next week while I was in florida.  Apparently my boss thought it wasn't enough for it to go in just for that so he backed into it today on his way out of work.

Wow that sucks!

That was no little "Oops I just nudged the car behind me, damn!" huh? That's a big old gouge down the side of the car!! Hope everything gets fixed up for you, without having to come out of your pocket?

And the Big Dig sucks... at least MA is a "zero-deductible glass" state isn't it?

Yes, MA is a zero-deductible state.  But Bill lives in NH now.

Dude, that sucks... I hope that gets fixed right quick.  I'm still trying to remember to set the date to get my rear bumper fixed.

Poor piece of poop car there. The pics were being gay last night and i couldnt get them to work... thats why they are all different sizes.... and he took the pics at night so they didnt come out too well.

It is a nice sized dent. can see where the truck just kinda pushed everything in and scratched up the paint. Estimate is about $1200 to get it fixed. he already had a claim in for all the MA stuff, some of which apparently included hte side of the car... and that was $2k so we will see what the final total is. All i know he is doesnt want the car so he is hesitent to fix it. Ofcourse, he cant get a new car with what he owes on the sebring (they RAPED him when he got it), its high milage and the fact he doesnt have the finest credit in the world. I swear he would just get a bike if he didnt have John.

So.. if anyone is giving away a focus wagon let us know.... we need it!!!!

** and to add insult to injury.... he forgot his lunch today :(**

Das no good.

Speaking of which, I should finally cash one of my paychecks so I can afford lunch.

Yeah was a long day without lunch.  Ok now it looks as though that I will probably fix the dent that my boss did.  The question is if I fix the hood.  I could bye a bike. or I could fix the paint and leave the messed up headlights in, and use the money for the brakes I need.  who knows wait till tomorrow to find out what my boss wants to do about paying for it.

I say since stopping power probably should take priority over how nice the car looks, I would do the brakes first.  Maybe if you have extra cash, fix the headlights.

Bikes are great! I drove my car 52 miles last week; rode the bike the rest of the time.

Don't kid yourself, though. Good bikes are expensive. I bought my DeRosa road bike new in 1995 for $3000.

That would be great!!! except he doesnt have a focus... its a sebring LXi (i know... i just dont say anything)

This would be lots easier if he did have a focus... cheaper, easier to fix... and spare partrs up the ass!

Oh... and Mr. V..... he and I are talking about motorcycle bikes..... not your bike of choice..... sorry!!!! distance between home and work is too far for him to bike plus he would have to haul John on it..... so either bike is kinda out of the question :(

http://www.car-part.com ?

I agree, brakes are the top priority... you see scratched up cars everywhere, but as long as they can stop they're alright.

Well Bill:

1) since you drive in MA all the time

2) you typically are carrying a child in the car

3) Fix the Brakes man!

Have you priced out the TMV on that car and considered selling it private party?

Car is worth about $8k in good condition.... wouldnt call the condition of his car as 'good' and he already has over 75K on it (or atleast damn close to that).

Even if he sold it privately for that.... he still owes just over $12K on the car

he is right ass backwards in the mofo thing

FYI, I was about 3k upside down on my maxima (I got 3700 for the car, I owed like 6000 on it), and still managed to snake 6900 in rebates to offset everything.

Perhaps Bill could try and get a new car? I mean brand spanking new, its a good way of getting some good rebates.  Also, there are places out there for people that have poor credit, maybe he could look into those?

If it helps any, I got my car at Framingham Ford, and I can give the name and number of the guy I went through for my focus.

We have tried and tried to get him into a new car, but it doesnt look like it is going to work . Its so bad that we CAN get him a new car, but they wont take the sebring so then he would have 2 car payments. its crazy. I have apparently had it quite easy when it came to getting a car because he is having a BITCH of a time. We  have gone to various dealers and they cant  help. And as for the bad credit, there are places that help you out because of that, only problem is they give you stupid high interest rates so you cant afford the car in the end.

dont know what the boy is gonna do. needs out of that car so bad but no one wants a POS Sebring!!
