I got fired last friday. Got fired for doing my job, aint that crazy? They literally fired me for doing exactly what the approved relevent work instruction told me to do. Not only that, they said I created a hostile work environment and that they had numerous complaints on me. However, they had absolutely no written complaints or formal complaints to HR to back that up. Absolutely nothing to prove they didnt just make that up. (which they did). They also violated their open door policy and commited about 10 other fouls. Im looking into suing them but texas is an at will state so Its going to be an uphill battle. Im already looking for work and I have some good leads. Im trying to look at this as an opportunity to move in teh right direction for me but its hard sometimes to be optomistic when you have no money and the rent is coming due. (my retirement disbursment check wont be here for at least another week and a half) the worst part is losing the health insurance. We have to go down to file for WIC and lonestar (food stamps) so we can get our daughter on medicade. So in conclusion..... motorola:
But if your an at will state, that means your employer can terminate you at any time, for any reason. Unfortunately, your situation sucks. I would just find something else and move on, thats a pretty douchebag thing to do.
Wow man that does suck, good job trying to keep up an optimistic spin on this. Maybe it will work out and you'll be able to move up to bigger and better things!
I've never heard of "at will" states, that sounds rather absurd. Around here you need to compile like months of hard evidence of wrong-doing before trying to fire someone and not get slapped with an unlawful termination suit. Even still, people will try it. Is there maybe a loophole because Motorola is a national company, not just a local TX one?

I dont know. Thats what lawyers are for. Im gonna see if I can stick em with something. Right now Im going to call chrysler and let them know that motorola is subverting the chrysler forever requirements. If I had seen it coming I could have gotten the email chain that proves it. Unfortunately I cant access my work network so Im SOL. Best Ic an do is drop the hint and hope they investigate.

I have to file an appeal thru the company, you can imagine how much good that will do.
Im so tired of sitting in front of this computer. all day writing cover letters and faxing resumes, filling out on line aps and making phone calls. I have a full time job that dosent pay me.
