Well, my car is broken again. been to 2 dealers to get it fixed, went to McFarland, they couldnt fix the leak, went to Starkey, they made it worse and.. AND i lost my aluminum valve cover to one of those damn plastic ones.. and for no reason since... the bastid still leaks!!! WORSE than when the 1st place tried to fix it.
NOW.. saturday im out with mom, car is running like crap (nothing new to be honest) and the check engine light comes on. I get off the highway and have to keep the damn car at like 3k to keep it from stalling out!! I was right infront of Mcfarland so instead of getting the damn thing towed somewhere again, i dropped it off then. Today im now told that i need to wires, plugs and coil (seems the oil leak was going into the plugs... but they didn tknow that). NOW they want me to pay since plugs are a wear item. OK, fine, ill give you that. BUT the car has gone in 10 times for a leak which they couldnt find. This engine has been CRAP since they day they put it in (with the plugs that were on it when the engine blew... nice).
I should have bought a new car when the engine blew. The integrety of my car is now shot to hell with all the problems I have had. Another $100 deductable gone plus parts. Oh yeah, im LOTS excited for this one!!!

Pokes, you need to call the Ford Customer Service line and tell them that this is BS!
DO NOT PAY FOR THOSE WIRES OR PLUGS!!!
Those were damaged due to THEIR negligence. this has been a nightmare for you and I'm truly sorry. I'm shocked that you had such a hard time with Starkey too. They've always done an excellent job with my car.

Oh dont you worry.... the customer service is getting a call and then Ford is getting ANOTHER letter like it did 3 years ago when my car was sucking since the begining.
We are in the middle of a fight now to try to get Starkey to pay for what McFarland is doing to fix it today (Plugs, wires, and ignition coil). I dont see any reason why i should be paying for any of this at this point.
We shall see what happens!!

Oh, they replaced it, i was without car for 2 weeks while they replaced the engine.
Looks like this could be what the problem is too. Have been fighting between the 2 places to get it paid for. Starkey thought i had the original wires in it bc they were so gunked up. Explained they I didnt, they were changed a few years back, but put back on the new engine.
Starkey thinks the oil pressure is too high, thats why we get the leaks and the dealer doesnt (just running it isnt going to cut it). they said if it leaks again they will put in for a new engine for it (again)... BUT, if they find any debree (?) elsewhere in the lines to and from th engine from when it blew, then Ford wouldnt cover it, it would be a McFarland thing.
Ofcourse, I have no doubt that there is debree in the thing. They did such a shitty job. Hell, they put back the same dip stick that was in it when the engine blew... and part of the block was stuck to it when it blew! (that had to later be replaced, along with about 10 other mistakes we found with the engine install).
Now, the next herdle after getting someone to pay for this, it to get McFarland say they will cover the engine if anything is found wrong when changing it out... again.
Oh, this is so FUN!!!!!

And Ford wonders why they are losing market share.......
Have you ever taken a look at the employee parking lot at either of these dealers to see what they are driving themselves?

Pokes. I told you I didn't like McFarland. My dad had "issues" with then in the late 80's and non of us ever went back again. Ok, well I got a couple parts from them but I installed them parts.

Oh I dont like them either.... even before the engine blew it only went there in emergencies... ie blown engine, car not going anymore, ect. had to take it in about 3 times too after the engine blew for them to fix thier f-ups on the install.
hate them so much.. hate them hate them hate them!!
(sorry... im retaining a great deal of anger for them at the moment)
