well I imagine that there'd still be some in the oil pan maybe, perhaps after sitting you'll get some.  Just try to get as much as you can.  If Ford says your oil did it then, make them show you their analysis of the oil, and get it all in writing.  You'll need the ammunition eventually if it comes back around again.

forget the warrenty right now. Never gonna happen. If they want records that means they are ready to shut you down. The extended warrenty is the biggest sucker bet in the world. I have never known ANYONE to actually get a good deal from it. It usually ends up costing you more WITH the warrenty than if you had just gone to a shop or better yet, done it yourself. Get your car back, spend the 600 bucks on a brand new zetec from Gerry at Kansas city racing products ( I think he charges 750 for a zetec) and never go back to a ford dealer again. Sorry about your guts, Its odd when they come out for no reason. crank walked or snapped if I had to guess since the two outer pistons are the ones that shot thru the block.

Im just saying that when they want records it means they are searching for an out. Ive seen it done to VW gusy, ford guys and others. If you are missing one oil recipt they will close the book.  If they were serious about honoring their waranty they would just pull the engine and replace it no questions asked as long as they dont find a nitrous nozzle or other suspicious parts. But they want your records right off the bat so that tells me that they have no intention of paying for any of this. I think you'd be better off just buying a new engine from Gerry.

Well, I've got her on her last oil Change.  Amsoil will work with us on that.

I'd like to see the Ford dealer try to argue the synthetic oil caused the problem above and beyond the legal team @ Amsoil.

I really don't think it's the oil anyway babe.  You had something wrong in there...rods just don't go like that...there was definitely a reason.

You find what paperwork you need and I've got all you need on the Amsoil.

Not to be negative hun...but, dealers and those con artists at the warranty companies don't want to pay.  it's typical.  They just don't want to...they want all of that money you've financed to keep for themselves.  It's industry wide...not just Ford.  They're all like that.  Bunch of vampires.

I bet the oil pump bung got blocked by debris and the pressure plummeted.

They'll always try to get out of something though. I've seen em in action.

I would be more apt to think that the crank warped or snapped. eventually it snapped. oil lamp would come on if the pump was clogged shut. and that brings us to our first lesson. get an oil pressure gauge.

Having your engine let go all of a sudden is scary as hell. Makes a big noise and a big smoke trail. For some reason it also causes a strange brown stain to appear on the drivers seat............... never could figure that one out.

Good luck with the warrenty claim. I really really hope you get it covered, its only fair.

Im all over this claim. Im NOT going to let them get away with not covering it. I have every recepit from everything i have ever had done to that car. Including all the tow ins because there was something wrong with the car where it wouldnt start. A problem that they never resolved so im gonna start to play that game that that could have had something to do with why it blew this time.

Im ready to kick some ass for my baby!!

and Chelly.. yeah, guess what the one thing i cant find it?? Yeah, that would be my amsoil stuff... can you help me?? :D

OMG, those pics are really something. Is your extended warantee from Ford? I certainly can't see them giving you a hard time about this, especially when you have maint records, etc.

Yup... extended aranett is from ford. I hope they dont try to pull anything on me at this point... what happened... there is nothing you could do to get the car to do that... had to be a weak point in the steel or something i swear.

Yeah, but Ford is NOT gonna be happy to cover it. I got the extended for free from them when my car kept pooin the bed 2 years ago... ongoing problems and lots of bitchin got me a free warantee... and let me tell you... im GLAD i bitched now!!!

So, you've been able to verify that the extended you purchased was actually through Ford and not a 3rd party?  oh, that is such good news!

I personally don't see you having a problem...even with the oil change.

As I've said, I changed to Amsoil back @ 11k miles...I rolled 40k last week.  Nearly 30k miles and going strong.  My oil is nice and clean too.

I'm really interested in their explaination for this.

When I was there one time talking to a few of the SVT guys, one of em said something about Ford not honoring warranties if someone uses different spark plugs or motor oil. I was like WTF buddy.

If they wont fix your car, just picket out front and tell customers how your are treated. You should see some action aftah that ;)
