They only had it for a day to fix the clutch problem.  In and out on problem, they stock the new replacment parts even had a tranny in stock. The tranny was kind of a odd thing to have in stock I thought but hey the less time with out my car the better.

Brought my car in yesterday for an oil change and told them to fix my clunking clutch that I complained about over a year ago. Well, they finally decided to order parts to get her done. NOw that there is a TSB out for it they will comply.

Who else here has had this done, I know there is atleast one other SVT'r here who's gotten theirs fixed. And did they replace the throwout bearing?

every now and then,
if i push 2nd gear really hard
i get a rattling sound,
but beyond that,
13k and no problems.

well, mines now in the shop for clutch issues...
was having a slippage problem, occasional soft pedal, and what i thought was gear rollover into second, and surging at hwy speeds.
so, i ordered a new clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing for it. took it to the dealer for an install today, and now it sits till tuesday...
got called about it and went to check. blued surface on pressure plate, and flywheel... clutch disc still had the grooves in it and was in decent shape. it's a good thing i took it in when i did though.
coulda had a flywheel in my lap! friggin dual mass! seems theres a bearing of sorts between the two parts, and its gone.could twist the flywheel back and forth and rock the two parts easily. they called ford who said there is a zero tolerance for any movement in these flywheels.
and since i'm outta warranty by a long ways and its a wear part. i'm soon to be out about 1100$ (all parts and labor)...
god this sucks a$$!

all problems i've been having are attributed to the damn dual mass flywheel now...:X

thats funny, whenver i called i was told that "gear chatter" was normal in these cars with the dual mass

I had a whole new transaxle put in my car the week before last,  per TSB 042119. I actually enjoy driving the car now. No more sloppy gears, no more chatter when the clutch is disengaged. When I picked it up, I almost peeled out and hit another car cuz the clutch was so tight LOL. Surprised the hell out of me HAHA.

Dropped car back off on Friday cuz the part to fix the broken DSI cable came in. Was hoping to have it back yesterday, but I guess after the cable was fixed a trouble code popped. Couldnt get it fixed by 5pm. Gotta wait till tomorrow or sumthin.

Along with a new tranny, I also got a new intake put in. After they fixed the DSI cable, it threw a code at them. One of the runners was actin funny or sum crap. Ended up replacin tha whole thing.

Cah runs like a top now.
