yeah, all 4 clutch procedures have now been unsuccessful...well, 3, since the 4-12-2 supeceded the 04-08-2 before i got to the dealer. 3rd time in being fixed, and same result every damn time. as mr bolt said in a wayyyyy earlier thread (and i quote)
It buzzes, rattles, hums, starts like shit, and I frequently get that feeling like somethings going to break if I'm too "rough" with it

everything from the clutch, to the ticking/rattling/humming that changes with engine speed (fuel injectors, which aparently are an issue on some SVTs), the hatch struts, the CLUNK when i start rolling from a stop, excessive power steering noise, trouble shifting (which might i add is nearly impossible all the time in this cold we are having), and something even as little as a constantly puddling foglight (which i thought was my fault, so ive replaced it twice, turns out theres a TSB for it, but not valid with front end damage:( ). i have only taken it in for the clutch, and am debating whther its even worth bringing the rest in to have it looked it. below is a couple of links, one a post i made on focus fanatics about the clutch incident, since teres a couple guys who can relate there, and another from the SVTOA about all these SVT problems, and Ford doing nothing (what they do best) to fix anything..
anyone with similar probs/experiences?? im about to giv up on this whole ford thing, i hate being easily persuaded by car guru's (aka my dad)

The thought of you letting go of this car kills me...

After this morning, I can't say im very happy with my ford lately either. I know some people have no problems with thier car, I am just NEVER that person.

Best of luck to you on whatever you decide :(

I have a poopie clutch too. Actually I think its more of a throwout bearing problem cuz the clutch is still "feels tight", but I have the clunking noise while at idle. When the clutch is engaged it goes away, but soon as I let it out, clunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunkclunk

I took my car in to the local SVT dealership at the end of the Summer and said I wanted it fixed. I already brought the car in there over a year previous and showed them the problem. A Tech. I took for a ride heard it and acknowledged it, but tried to tell me it was "normal". So there was no way I wasnt going to get it fixed since they already knew it was there. I dropped the car off and they said they would replace the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing. I got a rental and drove around in that for a couple days. They called and said my car was done...went to get it and the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing were not done yet, just my oil change. I was like WTF? Why have me rent a car when your just going to do an oil change cuz you have to order my parts? Big mess up. So I never went back and had the stuff put in lmao. I'll do it some point :driv

itsn ot that i want to let the car go, but a matter of convinience/safety issues. after reading stories about peopel's clutch going away on the highway while driving, tis not my idea of fun/a safe car. ford will eat this one, and the only way ill stick with one is if its a euro pkg...otherwise, it'll be forced to be bigger and better;)..ifff youget the hint

**edit** - Johnny, when youtook yours to portsmouth, did they even read thru the TSB and inspect all of the internals of the clutch assembly (slave cylinder, etc)??

Nope, cuz I had already taken it in way before the TSB came out. I showed them the noise ahead of time. When the TSB came out for it, I brought back and said "see, now fix it"...and they ordered the parts. They already knew what they needed to do.

My clutch has been fine, tight as the day I got it. But I havent really pounded the piss out of it either, and it has low miles. I'm sure if I drove it like that kid in Salisbury drives his red one that it would be mush by now lol.

hahaha...well i drive a lil agressive, but nothing a stock clutch couldnt handle, and most of its city commuting/highway. but, i dont know..i have quite a few pages of paper to read through tomorrow on my breaks, a phone call to make, and i will make my decision as to whether Ford gets a 4th chance at this. not to mention, the whole pedal now pulsates, and it sticks in nearly every gear between shifts, hot and cold. that never happened until the new clutch as of last week.
