I think the 02 and/or 03 have a problem with the cruze. All other problems are cured with the ECU updates. I also heard a clutch chatter sound problem with some.

The only other BIG problem with the SVTF is that you have to find a used one or a left over 04 if there are any left. They stopped making it in case you did not know.

Dont let people discourage you and tell you about problems with the SVT, especially those who never had an SVT. All the PCM problems (reflashes) are free to fix, so no worries there. The clutch chatter is also a known issue, and SVT & Ford issued a bulletin to all dealers about it. So that fix is free of charge too. Actually, my new clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing are still sitting at Portsmouth Ford lol. All problems are known and covered.

Other than that, I know of no other major issues with this car. SVT has been good about listening to us and forwardig major complaints to Ford so that the issues are covered.

I think alot of people here with svtf would be intrested in the results.I'd like to find a dyno nearby to get it dynoed...I'd be interested in seeing what if any benefits I've gotten from the mods...I know driving it is like a new car.

Ask and you shall recieve... the best closest thing around here Blurry.

Thanks Joe...I called and left a message...I wonder if they are open all year?  I will let you know the outcome.  What gear do they do the pulls...I've heard 3rd and 4th.  Some people say 3rd is not a true 1:1 ratio???  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I fell upon this looking for more information on my PZEV - http://motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/112_0401_thrash/index9.html

Check that out:
2.5 Subaru RS
Lancer Ralliant
Spec-v
SVT Focus

I think the article speaks volumes when it comes to the total package that Nissan offers on this car.

From what I gather in the article they feel as though the SVT focus is the best. The article lists them in this order, 1) SVT 2) Lancer Ralliart 3) Spec V 4) Subie. I'd listen to them :)

It's funny that I came across this post. When I bought my SVT last year, I test drove a sentra SE-R, and the Neon SRT. Though both cars pull a little harder than the SVT, there's no comparison to handling. I've even watched an SRT disappear in my rearveiw on an on ramp. Of course when the straightaway came, he caught up pretty quickly.....:driv
