t3-rex wrote: Blurry, you need to get that thing on a dyno and see what kinda power you are making and where in the power band. I think alot of people here with svtf would be intrested in the results.I'd like to find a dyno nearby to get it dynoed...I'd be interested in seeing what if any benefits I've gotten from the mods...I know driving it is like a new car.

Ask and you shall recieve... the best closest thing around here Blurry.

This prompted me to make the call...I am going to get the SVTF dynoed....I'll change my sig to show my mods....I've heard to have the pulls done in 3rd gear as well as 4th gear...???Any recommendations?  Anyone know the gear ratios?  Any guesses as to how much h.p.???  I just want to see it on paper....I'll post the numbers when I get it done.

Well, I know that 3rd gear isn't the 1:1 gear, 4th is, but on the regular focus, we'd clip the governor in 4th gear before we top out the gear so they dyno it in 3rd, I believe you just have to calculate that into the HP/TQ equations. What the ratio is I'm not sure, and whether that differs from the SVT again I don't know. Usually they'll use 3rd gear to determine all the stuff you can't get from 4th gear, but in 4th gear it helps to know what the real numbers look like. This should be interesting Blurry :)

  3rd     1.33:1         2             4.25:1             5.7:1
  4th     1.08:1         2             4.25:1             4.6:1
  5th     1.33:1         1             2.88:1             3.1:1
  6th     1.08:1         1             2.88:1             3.1:1

Yeah, don't blow anything up.

I've never been to a dyno. So I don't know what goes on, or the best way to do things.

Thanks...I'll try to make sure they don't blow anything up...I'm just curious to see if any of the mods have mounted to much...or been worth the money spent...
