Ok, what is the widest tire anyone has put on a stock SVTf rim and it DIDN'T rub? I might go beg a Speed Touring and Grand Am Cup shop for some used race rubber.

depends if the car has been lowered. on mine with h&r racing sprins 225 would rub on bumps. went back to 215 and no problem.
stock hight 225 or a little larger should be no problem
ive asked this many-a-times, in my new set and the set before, and for auto-x..lowered the 225 will not work regardless, stock height i was told (and i quote) "dont push it" but i was told that in the auto x scene, the 225 would be too much for the hard cornering at stock height with the 17s, hw true it is i dont know. on my 18s i have now, the wheel fully turned nearly (1/8-1/4 gap) hits the inner fender well lining (the molded plastic piece) (215/35 series)
