There might be a CD dislodged in it keeping the lift mech from working properly. I know that happened with the original 6 disk changers. Chelly ha had no problems with her 03 Autiophile system... (**knock on wood**)

If your out of warranty might wanna at least crack the top of the radio open and take a peak inside to see if you can see any "obvious broken or don't look correct" things.

I don't even know wher eNew England Kolidge is. Where are you now? MA?

welcome to team focus chfvt! ;wel

I used to have probs w/ my '02 6 disc, but it wasn't the audiophile system.  If you notice the error when playing 'back up' discs, then those are the same types of probs I had w/ my previous focus.  My audiophile has been perfect in my '03 ZX3.

FX3 has pulled a few of these puppies apart -couldn't hurt to check.  Just to see if something 'knocked' loose.

good luck and post often!:driv

Welcome to TF.  :wave

I have the 6 CD system in my 'o2 ZX3. I'm currently working on my 3rd unit. The other 2 hopelessly jamed. They were removed & had to be sent back to the factory in order to retrieve my CDs, which were stuck inside. I've had the 3rd one in for quite a long time now... maybe 3+ years...so hopefully it's a keeper. IMO, the sound is great for a stock system. I never felt the need to replace it with anything that was better, (sound wise).
