Let me just say I love the car but the low-profile tires/rims are killing my bank account. Wife crushed one rim. Another rim is getting repaired tomorrow. Tire was also cracked on the rim to be fixed. The helpful Ford service personnel were also trying to get me to replace a second rim/wheel for damage that was not noticeable to the naked eye.
While it will be painfully clear in the next sentence, I know nothing about cars. I want to know if it's possible to get non-low profile rims/tires on my 2002 Focus SVT. If so, where?
Thanks for any help.

Because of the wheel size you will be stuck with low pro tires.  If you get a tire with a thicker side wall it will rub.  It might not rub with no one in the but but a couple of people in the back seat and the noise will begin.  You could always get a set of focus 16's, they will be cheaper to replace than the svtf 17's and you can run a tire with a thicker side wall.  Or you could stop running into things, JK ;)

Welcome to the board!!! Sorry to hear about your mishaps.

If your getting the rims directly from your Ford dealer, they are probably taking you for a hell ride.

Go to batinc.net, and look at their online catalog. You will find the SVT rims for around $125.

Dont let girls drive your car. And watch out for holes, bumps and curbs :)

If you really have to put other rims on, 16's will be as small as you can go, because of the brakes.
