Okay i'm looking to tune my 2005 ZX3 a bit and was wondering if anyone knows what companies are already selling parts that will fit my car? I got most of the less pricy external mods done looking for exhaust mostly. Its less then a month old and dont want to frig over the warranty too much. its always going to be a daily driver.

Nice list!

For specific engine parts check out this site. Your engine code would be D20 or D20E if you got the PZEV in Maine...

As for the Exterior/Interior I know there's not a whole lot for the Exterior for the new body style yet. Of course wheels off any other Focus still fit, and the Hatch has the exact same rear as in 200-04. The front, hood, headlights... all different except for your little orange corner turn signals, those can be swapped for clear corners just like the First-gen Focus, exact same pieces.

Good start for reference sites on '05.

lil duratec, thanks for the list of common parts from past that'll fit and the ones that won't.

New 15" inch rims coming for my ZX3. If I can figure out how to send pics from digital camera, I will. Shouldn't be all that hard.

Tiny,

Checked out your ride pics. Cool! What did you do to the car suspension to give your car (old school term "raked out look") lowered front end compared to higher rear end or was it just the angle of the pics? I just turned over 2K on the odometer in my '05 ZX3 but I alternate driving my other car. Should be getting my rims this week. I'll post some pics. You younger guys may not care for my choice but, I'm older and going for the clean sporty conservative look. Something I have thought about though is silver or white pin striping on the Sangria Red metallic color, nothing fancy just a little added custom look to car. Later!

JT

not intending to hijack your thread but lil duratec's post cought my eye. question is ::: will a rear spoiler type wing for a 2001 to 2004 fit on my 2005 ?

tiny, i just put the focus sport exhaust on my car. i like the way it sounds, its knoticeable but not annoying, i also have the fs exhaust on my 02 sedan.

Not sure with the spoiler evil... is the 05 in question a sedan, hatch or wagon? I'm assuming one of the first two.

If it's a hatch... absolutely yes it will fit. Ford didn't touch a thing on the butt of the hatches, except the font used on the badges. For the sedan I'm not so sure, but something like a spoiler could fit assuming the trunk is wide enough for the spoiler's mounting points, ya know? I would guess most if not all sedan spoilers would interchange amongst Foci generations, although there aren't a ton out there for sedans.

Ok, edit, you're posting this in the ZX3 forum, so I'll go ahead and assume that's what you have!? Haha, ok well I won't edit everything out in case sedan owners wander in here wondering about spoilers.:P
