Anyone with a 00-03 (an possibly up to 06) Check your wire harness going from the car to the hatch through the scrunchy rubber boot. The wires crack and either brake or short out on the metal of the hatch.
I was roaming around the forums and found this interesting post about Tail lights and instrument lights not working and replacing the blown fuse just results in getting another blown fuse.
This also affects the rear wiper. All hatch electrical goes through this wire bundle.
