Running your car without the EGR hooked up is a very bad thing, unless it is tuned for it.

focus sport or focus central both can make you a race header without the port. Kamikaze can also be ordered this way. If you're building a race car, you don't need/want it. If you're building a penny-pinching grocery getter u want loud, you should probably keep it.
