I just got an e-mail from a gentleman in Taveres Fla. about a v-8 swap for my '01 ZTS.For those of us in Fla, the Co. name is Tees customs, can't remember the e-mail address, but i will post it after this message. The options are as follows: 4.6,5.0, and 5.8 litre,FI or carb, the good thing is you get to keep your a/c,ps, and acouple of other goodies! But you need to upgrade your brakes though, the SVT brakes they say, will be enough to stop the car.(Ford Racing Performance parts discs on the rear). The kit i will be ordering will consist of a 5.0 mill,w/ a 4.030 in. bore and 3.4 in. stroke, (correct me if i'm wrong but i think it is a 347 c.i. motor).11.1 JE pistons,Scat crank, Eagle rods, ported AFR 185 alum. heads,w/ a custom grind FlowTech Induction camshaft. Iwanted to go w/ the "hi-tech" approach using high flow30-lb / hr injectors and a Steve Petty fuel rail,Edlebrock Victor intake, mustang ECU,O&C Autologic chip, MSD digital 6 Ign. an FRPP 2.95 World Class 5-speed tranny w/ a Spec clutch and Spec Stage III pressure plate.and an 8.8 rear end w/ 3.27,3.55 or 3.73 gears. The man says that all of this plus the kit drops right in w/ no mods . Roughly this is about 400 h.p.(can you say diaper change?)!!!!. I'll keep you guys posted on the progress. These mods are of my own choosing. They do not come w/ the kit. Here is his E-mail: teescustom@comcast.net . :driv

Sounds great! If it were me, I'd go with the 3:27 rear end. If you opt for the lower ones, I think you'd get nothing but wheel spin. 'Course, you might get nothing but wheel spin anyway.  :D

thanks for the input guys,i think i will opt for the 3.27 gear, my problem is that i live in Lakeland Fla but work un Tampa (89)miles round trip,it takes about 45 min, to an hour depending on the traffic, at 4a.m. traffic is not as bad as 8a.m. traffic, but the good thing about it is it will cut my commute in half!i'll keep you guys informed on the progress. thanks again:driv
