Is there a way to open my passenger door? I really need to have it opened by next month.

I have taken my car to a locksmith and he couldn't open it at all? why should i do?

Since you say these are power locks I would check your fuses to see if the ones for your locks (don't know which one(s) this would be), but this may be the first thing I'd look into.

Are you saying your key does not fit into your lock at all or is it just frozen up?

Did you just purchase this car?

For the rear door...do you have child locks? Maybe it's set not to open. This should be easy to check. Consult your owner's manual. For the front passenger door checking the fuses sounds like  good idea. The owners manual will likely point out which fuses to look at. Another possibility is that the lock is corroded. That would mean removing the door panel to inspect & lube it if needed. Does it make any unusual noises when you try to open it?;:what

If it's not fuses, then I'd say you may have a grounding issue, a condensation problem, rust or other problems within the doors or through the wiring.

Sorry I can't help...possibly others here have some ideas?

Well, power aside. The doors should unlock manualy(do this and than try the following). There is an issue with the 2000 and some 2001 & 2002 models having the outer door handle not working all the time. Sometime you have to pull on the outer door handle 3-4 (maybe more) times quickly to get the door to open(try only letting the handle go back 1/2 way before pullign again and try to lift up and down slightly on the handle at the same time, kinda jiggle it). Try the same on the inside with the inside lever. If still no go than get a helper and pull the inside and outside door handles at the same time and try to push the door open from the inside at the same time.

If you do get it open do not shut it. unless you figured out the trick and the door opened easily for you.

After the door is open you need to remove the door panel (the panel cannot be removed with the door closed with out damaging the panel). After the panel is off examine the door rods(look for unusual bend and pull on the handles to see what rods move and to see if they are moving correctly/enough).

If you don't feal comfortable doing this than I suggest taking it to a mechanic/garage. You can take it to Ford if you like but a local mechanic/garage would most likely be the cheaper route, but ford may know exactly what it is and it could be a quick fix. Call around and ask if it comes to you needign to take it somewhere.

You're welcome. The only thing I can think of that hasn't been suggested is to use a BFH on it.  :P
