Hey,

Some jerk side swiped my car while it was parked. Took off more than half of the sideview mirror on the drivers side. I'm pretty sure I can replace it myself, but I need a little assistance in how to get the casing off. I called the dealership and they said it would be either one pin or one screw to remove it, but I don't see it. I have a 2002 Focus SE. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hmmm. I've never done it, but there are several folks on the board here, who have installed different mirrors. One of them will respond.

Well on th einside there in the sail panel next to the window....remove that...then there is one bolt and 2 screws.  That will remove it.

Does it just pop off? I'm getting a little resistance and I don't want to break it.

Thanks for responding btw :)
