In my new SES wagon the Owner's Manual states--the running lights will only come on if the parking brake is released. My DRL come on as soon as the key is moved to the run position, whether the the parking brake is set or not.
Do other owner's vehicles DRL engage in the sme manner?
I don't know. Being from the states, ours don't have dlr's. Patience tho. Someone will ans soon. If fact, you might want to go to members & look up Codger. He's also a Kanuk, very knowledgable, and probably knows the ans.
BTW...welcome to TF. Nice to have you here.

I beleve DRL's only turn off headlights with parking brake on. I know someone who had a differant brand car and there headlights went off with the p-brake on. can't remember if running lights were on with DRL's or not on that kah.

Thanks in advance.
So the lights come on when the parking brake is set as well? If not then it works fine....
If your parking brake is NOT set when you turn the car on then the DRL should come on cause the brake isnt set.
