ok.. for about a year my check engine light randomly goes off, so i take it to get hooked up to get a diagnostic test.. every time it's been P1520 which says 'intake manifold runner control circuit malfunction, today the light went off again.. and this time it was that plus P1518 which says 'intake manifold runner control (stuck open)'.. can anyone tell me what this means and if it's serious? i really need help with this.. thanks so much
I had a similar problem, I'm not sure if it's a big issue or not, I know that in order for them to fix the problem they had to smoke the engine to find where it was leaking from and then replace the valve that was stuck open, on my car it wasn't the CEL that came on it was the Check gas cap is on light, apparently it also functions as a CEL.
can anyone tell me what this means and if it's serious? i really need help with this.. thanks so much
