Hey everyone, I have a 2000 Focus ZTS and the trunk one day didn't latch. No matter how hard I shut it, it would latch. So I looked at the latch and found that it was worn out and I had a shop order me a new one. I installed it and it still doesn't latch! Am I just overlooking something? They're not hard to install and I know I did it correctly. I adjusted the striker bolt up and down to see if it help which it didn't. Should I replace the striker bolt as well as the latch? I really have no idea what else to do. Thank in advance!

Thanks for the reply. Not exactly sure what's going on with it. I don't think it's the kind with a cable. The only thing I had to unattach when I took it out was the electrical cable (for the remote entry). I ended up just taking it to a mechanic to have him look at it. He's worked on my cars so much he actually knows who I am when I call. lol He's been really good so I'm sure he can figure something out. Thanks for the reply!
