For the amount of trouble it would be, you'd be best off to just buy a sedan with a Zetec... and a 5-spd.

Especially if it's automatic, don't bother swapping, because you cannot build anything on the auto without building the transmission first, which is not cheap.

Not sure but I think that zetec (if it is a zetec???) is differant than the one in the 00+ focus.

Anyway you would need a donor car to get all the wiring, computer and other little things required for the swap. I also know the SPI motor has the IB5(I think its called that?) 5 speed and you might need the MTX75 to mate up to the 2.0 Zetec.

Where is wizzard racing. He knows the Escort GT's pretty well. Is this GT motor an early zetec? Is it differant from the current 2.0L zetec?
