Well, let me start off by saying I figured out what my problem is. Without a tach, I can not launch properly. I tried using the Hack-Tach, and it helped, but it's hard to watch the tree and that little thing for a decent launch. I'll post my 1/4 mile and 60-foot times. It didn't help that it was hot (air temp 82, track temp 130), but you'll see by my 60-foot times that there is where it was all lost.
Run 1: 11:06 AM, Just arrived at track (much love for empty staging lanes).
60'...........2.432
1/4 mile..16.677 @ 81.64
Run 2: 11:13 AM, pulled right back in line after run 1, no cooldown.
60'...........2.530
1/4 mile..16.831 @ 81.75
Run 3: 11:35 AM, pulled right in after run 2, no cooldown, missed 3rd gear.
60'...........2.446
1/4 mile..17.115 @ 79.59
Run 4 11:44 AM, pulled right through after run 3, with heavy passenger, bogged off line.
60'...........2.697
1/4 mile..17.381 @ 81.20
Run 5 12:03 PM, 5 min cooldown. Launched at rev-limiter... spun until 2nd. Bad idea.
60'...........2.592
1/4 mile..17.368 @ 80.56
AND finally, the run that made me realize that this car IS really faster than it has been, it just needed to cool down and a good launch.
Run 6: 3:31 PM, 2 hour cooldown, WITH PASSENGER (and a damn-near perfect launch)
60'...........2.244
1/4 mile..16.553 @ 82.12
And then we left because my dad broke.
I have to say, I always knew this car was not as quick as PFF was it it's prime, however, I was expecting a little better. This just settles it- I NEED TO GET PFF2 ROLLING!
